Does the brain represent the syntactic structures of sentences and if so, in which areas? I will report on a series of experiments performed in our lab, using a variety of paradigms (priming, sentence verification, parametric manipulation of constituent size), that tried to address this issue. I will also present data about the sensitivity to structure in Mathematics (arithmetic formulas and number names) and Music.
