PhD candidate Joanna Sieprowska, from the Brain Plasticity research line of our group, has won the II Comas i Solà Contest. This short-film competition organized by the University of Barcelona aims to popularize the scientific research carried out in the laboratories adscribed to the UB. To do so, contestants (doctorate students with on-going PhD projects) should make a video summarizing their research activities and their PhD projects in the best and most creative way they can.
Our colleague Joanna and Arturo Fuentes have created a beautiful video explaining the exciting project in which Joanna is working (supervised by dr. Antoni Rodríguez-Fornells and dr. Andreu Gabarrós): mapping language in the brain of patients with cerebral tumors.
