A post-doctoral position is opened at the Cognition and Brain Plasticity Unit (www.brainvitge.org) of the University of Barcelona associated to the ERC Starting Grant led by Ruth de Diego-Balaguer. The Cognition and Brain Plasticity Unit is integrated in the Bellvitge Health University Campus and is formed of five different groups including physicists, neurologists, biologists, engineers and psychologists working in collaboration with complementary techniques and topics in Cognitive Neuroscience.
The project studies how attention oriented in time has an important role in Language Learning both in the course of development and in learning a second language. The different studies in the project combine MRI data (DTI with tractography, fMRI) and EEG and are developed in infants, children and healthy and neurological adult participants.
The suitable candidate should have a PhD in cognitive neuroscience with a strong background in neuroimaging analysis (in particular MVPA and/or graph analysis). Previous work in the topics of attention, prediction or/and language is preferred. The post-doc position involves participating in the design of experiments and collecting and analyzing the imaging data. We search for a creative and motivated researcher with initiative and happy to work in a collaborative team. The position is available immediately and applications will be evaluated until an optimal candidate is found.
