Abstract

As a response to the target article under consideration (Escera, 2004) we have commented on the multidisciplinarity of Cognitive Neuroscience and its different research approaches. Critical structural changes are needed in the organization of the Spanish university (e.g., department structure and its tight relation to research topics) in order to cope with new and emerging multidisciplinary research approaches like Cognitive Neuroscience. Finally we comment on the new possibilities for research in Cognitive Neuroscience which encompass different areas like psychology, neurology and psychiatry.
