Abstract
Exploratory (EFA) and confirmatory (CFA) factor analysis were used to investigate the factoral validity of the Quality Life Scale (QLF), measuring social deterioration in a sample of 100 schizophrenics patients. The results show the invalidity of initial hypotethical conceptual structure of the authors (Heinrichs, Hanlon y Carpenter, 1984). We’ve used EFA to examine the initial factor structure and CFA to confirm the same original model, without the four factor, common objects and everyday activities. Data regarding high internal con-sistency reliability are also presented.
